What it does

Eight dials on a device that has four: they split across two profile pages, Board and Navigate.
The layer and zoom dials paint live faces on the touch strip, so the strip shows the real value rather than the last one it saw.
Covers the Schematic Editor, the PCB Editor, and the 3D Viewer, and switches deck pages automatically when you move between editors.
The bundled 15-key profile is a category hub with every command already wired to a key.

Good to know

Click the canvas once after switching windows: KiCad's drawing canvas only listens to the keyboard after a mouse click inside it.
Keys apply to whichever editor is focused, schematic or board.
