A wrong chord in a PCB editor succeeds quietly and changes your board, so a command with no verified macOS chord refuses on the key and says so rather than firing. Commands proven in only one editor are gated to that editor and dim everywhere else.

What it does

235 commands across 23 remappable category keys covering the schematic editor, the PCB editor, the 3D viewer, the library editors and GerbView. Drop a category key on the deck, pick the command in the property inspector, and the key takes that command's face.
Seven dials: track width, via size, grid, active layer, undo scrub, sheet navigator and layer opacity. The Stream Deck + seats four and the Stream Deck + XL six, and each dial paints its own face on the touch strip.
Track width, via size and grid read their real value off KiCad and show a plain dash when there is nothing to read, never a guessed number. A stale width displayed as current is the same lie as a wrong one.
The Stream Deck + XL and Stream Deck XL hub pages carry a 14-key number pad that stays put while you page: digits, 00, decimal point, Backspace and Enter, typed straight into whatever size field KiCad has open.
Six bundled profiles with Easy Link on every one. The 15-key Stream Deck gets a 25-page hub of category doors. A Status key shows which editor is in front, the open project, and whether it has been edited since you opened it.

What you need

macOS 13 or later, Stream Deck software 6.9 or newer, and KiCad 10, built and measured against KiCad 10.0.5. This is a macOS listing. The Windows edition is KiCad Hotkeys.

Built for KiCad 10 on macOS 13 or later, measured against KiCad 10.0.5. Requires the Stream Deck app 6.9 or newer. Profiles are bundled for six decks: the 15-key Stream Deck, the Stream Deck +, the Stream Deck + XL, the 32-key Stream Deck XL, the Mini and the Neo. The dials need one of the two Stream Deck + models.
Keystrokes need Accessibility, and macOS never prompts for it. Add Elgato Stream Deck under System Settings, Privacy & Security, Accessibility, then quit and reopen the Stream Deck app.
For named layers on the Active Layer dial, turn on KiCad's API server: KiCad, Preferences, Plugins, Enable KiCad API server. Everything else works without it, and with it off the layer strip shows a dash instead of a name.
Keystrokes go to the focused window, so keep KiCad in front. A handful of commands have no verified macOS chord yet: those keys tell you instead of firing quietly.

True of every plugin we make

Every key carries the app's own shortcut for that command, and every key is remappable. Type your combination into the property inspector or click Capture and press it once. Where an app leaves a command unbound, the key still reaches it by the route that app exposes.
Keystrokes go to the front window and nothing steals focus, so keep the target app in front when you press.
Every command has its own drawn key art, so the deck reads at a glance instead of listing shortcuts.
